In 1957, Vernon Fitzhugh started Fitzhugh Communications, Inc. in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Specializing in mood music (MUZAK) and audio/video services, he single handedly acted as the owner, manager, salesman, and technician.

As business grew, Vernon expanded his service area throughout Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. Fitzhugh Point-of-Sale Solutions, Inc. was created to specialize in the programming, designing, installing, and servicing of point-of-sale systems, credit/debit card processing and integrated video security.

Today, after more than 60 years, Fitzhugh Communications and Fitzhugh Point-of-Sale Solutions continue to serve clients not only locally, but across the entire country.
